Languages
English and Russian, Uzbek is being added. The rest of UzGidAI (chat, day plans, phrasebook) works in 17 languages.
More than an audio guide
Between the stops you can ask the AI guide anything: what this inscription means, where to have lunch nearby, when the next train to Khiva leaves.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. The audio guide opens in your phone browser at uzgid.app. If you like, you can add it to the home screen like an app.
Which languages are available?
English and Russian, and Uzbek is being added. You switch the language of the stories in the audio guide window.
Does it work without internet?
The stories are streamed, so you need mobile data or Wi-Fi. A local SIM card is cheap; see our guide to SIM cards and mobile internet.
Are entrance tickets included?
No. The audio guide tells the story of each place; tickets for the Ark and the museums are bought on site.
Can I ask questions?
Yes. UzGidAI is also an AI guide: ask in the chat about any sight, price, train or restaurant in 17 languages.
Stories are based on open sources (Wikipedia and others) and checked by the UzGidAI team. Opening hours and prices are not in the stories — they change; ask the AI guide.
